Abstract:
The use of mobile applications is being widely used nowadays, and among its users are the elderly. Despite the prevalent usage of smartphones and its applications, there is still a degree of difficulty in its usage among the elderly, which according to past literatures, could be due to elderly’s deterioration as a result of their age and their inexperience with technology, and as a consequence, it has been found that these factors affect the way they interact with their mobile applications. The aim of this project is to identify what defines a suitable user interface design for the elderly to address their limitations, and analyse it based on the user experience method. This project proposes the development of a prototype UI which will be evaluated on local elderly participants of the age 60 and above. Research will be conducted first to identify suitable UI characteristics, which will then be used to design and develop a prototype UI that will be used during evaluation by having it tested by the appropriate participants.

Abstract:
One of the most important components of our daily lives in the modern day is the internet. The internet has transformed every aspect of our lives, and the tourist industry is no exception. Technological improvements have altered how businesses run, particularly in how they interact with customers. Many businesses also invest in technology to strengthen their position as market leaders and increase income. These days, a lot of travel agencies are concentrating on the newly emerging mobile commerce (M-commerce), which operates on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The tourism business now has new opportunities to provide its customers with highly valuable services, such as convenience, interactivity, and the capacity to discover information without being constrained by time or space.

Mobile application is a kind of technology that can be used to make people’s lives easier. It can help them find information more easily, communicate with others and save time. Brunei Darussalam is a beautiful country located in Southeast Asia. It is known for its stunning beaches, rainforests, and mountains. Brunei also has a rich culture and history. Tourists who visit Brunei can enjoy activities such as swimming, hiking, and exploring the country's many historical and cultural sites.

If we're trying to promote Brunei tourism, one great way to do it would be by creating a mobile app. This would allow people to easily learn about all that the country has to offer, and it would be a convenient way for them to keep track of their plans and reservations. To make the most impact, the app would need to be well-designed and full of useful information. It would also need to be updated regularly, so that people would always have the latest information at their fingertips. Brunei Tourism Mobile application will be a mobile app that allows users to get information on Brunei’s tourism attractions and services. The application also provides useful travel tips, latest news, and events in the country. It can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple App Store for free of charge.

Abstract:
The current system in recording students’ achievement and participation in Universiti Teknologi Brunei is called UTB Student Achievement Passport. It is a document that is given to all students that act as a logbook. UTB Student Affairs distributes this document with the purpose of promoting proactiveness among the students of the University. The current system is paper-based that brings forth several limitations faced by the people who use and validate the documents. These people would be considered as the stakeholders. The limitations faced include time consumption, document loss issues due to paperbased leading to loss of records, the consistency and accuracy of data that is being recorded and the participation among students that is considered low. Background studies on other existing systems within and out of Brunei are made to come up with a solution that would help mitigate the limitations faced. The overall goal is to produce a webbased prototype system that would help increase participation among students and their chances of employability in workforce whilst also promoting the events and clubs around UTB. Methodology used in terms of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is the Waterfall Model where the stages of the lifecycle includes preliminary investigation, system analysis, system design, system development and system testing.

Abstract:
Cyber Battle Capture The Flag is an IT competition event that are internationally hosted but are not well known to many students. University competing with other university in timely manners, the fastest one wins. Company hosting, inviting team all over the world to compete, with a handsome reward as a prize. Hacking Gamified is a website that will provide UTB student with CTF question for training purposes. The experience with learning is valuable assets for future use. A dashboard that runs independent to manage the website will be hosted with one of UTB’s lab computer. There will be multiple questions provided and will be added more as time goes by.

Abstract:
Peatland forest fire is one of the most frequent natural disasters in Southeast Asian countries including Brunei. To date, several studies have been conducted on ways that could potentially detect and prevent forest fires. This project proposal is a continuation of the previous project done by the students in Universiti Teknologi Brunei on preventing peatland fire using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. This report proposes the development of dashboard with an alarm system which would be done after the deployment of the second sensor at the peatland area in Brunei. The proposed dashboard will be shared with the Brunei forest fire stakeholders once completed.

Abstract:
It was stated by the United Nation (UN) along with other countries, that it is a basic human right to be able to have access to clean and healthy drinking water aligned with the World’s Health Organization water quality guideline, as it also plays a role in improving their standard of living. Although water supplied to homes have undoubtedly passed through water treatment facilities and are most likely to be clean, current home water tanks do not have the technology to monitor and identify the parameters present in said tanks. Stepping into the digitalization era, with the emergence of Internet of Things (IoT), proposing the integration of IoT technologies with the capabilities to monitor water quality parameters as well as fully automate management of water usage could make things more convenient for the people at home. This project will integrate the use of IoT components which allows users to be able to monitor and manage their usage of water at home. A physical prototype will be made to simulate the process and to also provide a dashboard with the help of Cayenne to receive data sent by the IoT components to display the parameters present in the water.

Abstract:
Most of the ISO 27—2 security control auditing tools are proprietary and high cost. This tool will be developed as an open source auditing instrument that can help new business to achieve their own ISO certification without breaking the bank. The aim of this study is to develop an application as an open source instrument to help in auditing ISO 27001 security controls. This is to make the process of auditing ISO 27001 more informative to the organization, the tool will display the final results of the audit before they want to be certified.

Abstract:
This project aims to provide a solution to manage the Peer Evaluation of Teaching processes, also known as PET. This project is mainly under the Quality Assurance Unit of UTB. The PET is implemented in Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) to ensure the quality of teaching. PET is a process by which an academic evaluates another peer or colleague using an assessment tool that includes areas for observation and evaluation for teaching effectiveness. In UTB, lecturers are required to take PET when specific requirements are met. The solution will be to develop a web-based system called the Peer Evaluation of Teaching (PET) System, which provides a web-based interface for managing PET processes.

Abstract:
With the growing need of alternative income for Brunei other than the Oil and Gas Industry, local fish/shrimp production are require to be able to help as an alternative choice of revenue. But producing a huge quantity of fish/shrimp production may come with its challenges such as the environment for the fish/shrimp to be cultivate, the amount of food for them, location space for the fish/shrimp farming and so much more. Thus, it is require to develop a prediction system in helping what element that help to at least mitigate these challenges in the future. A prediction system is a system that uses prediction model algorithm to perform a prediction. It uses machine learning to learn the pattern of the existing data and develop its own projected prediction. With the existing 10 years of local data on the shrimp production and proper data cleaning of the existing data, will then be able to model a machine learning algorithm for the prediction system. After the algorithm model is develop then will be able to use to visualize the existing data and also to visualize a prediction of the shrimp production into 1 to 5 year into the future. The modelling of the algorithm will require understanding of the type of machine learning model that is suitable for the prediction system such as the time series model or any other existing model. With the help of a prediction system, fish/shrimp producer will then be able to understand and better prepare on what that may affect their fish/shrimp production.

Abstract:
With the advent of technology and digital games, children are moving far away from the traditional games that were once played back when things were done more traditionally. These traditional games are linked to the culture of one's country, thus actions should be taken to preserve such traditional games. Making an entertaining and informative game simulation of such traditional games could be one of the ways to make people, especially children, more aware of such traditional games.

Abstract:
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is mental disorder where an individual had excessive concern over 1 or more flaws in their appearance (imaginary or minor) to the point it disrupts their lives. There is a lack of understanding and exposure od BDD amongst the public with it being misdiagnosed and also generally poorly understand.

Abstract:
On 27th July 2020, UTB signed an MOU with IBTE Wasan in hopes to collaborate working together on the paddy plantation field. Currently UTB have deployed several sensors to monitor the situation of the field and the reservoir. A few of the data that was collected is the temperature, humidity, and water level within the field and in the reservoir. This data will then be used to analyze the optimal conditions to grow paddy. However, even with all this sensor there are no actuator to make use of these sensors which is why a proposal was made to transfer water from the reservoir to the paddy field was made. For this proposal, the system will be using a siphoning technique where the water will be sucked into the PVC pipes via atmospheric pressure and gravity without the use of pumps. The water flow would be controlled by a solenoid valve connected to an IoT device allowing the users to be able to turn on or off the valve using mobile. There are however a few drawbacks for this system as it requires the inside of the PVC pipes to always be filled with water and make sure that the pipe is tightly sealed to prevent the water and pressure leaking out. The advantages of this system however outweigh the drawbacks as this could potentially be used without the use of pumps and would be more durable than other complicated structure and not only that if it is broken or malfunctioning it could be easily replaced.

Abstract:
On 2The field of computer vision and pattern recognition has attracted greater interest over the past few years. Applications like surveillance, biometrics, intelligent marketing, and human-computer interaction would all substantially benefit from knowing the characteristics of the people being studied. The gender of a person is one such significant demographic attribute. In the poster, I present a novel approach to a gender prediction model, which aims to integrates facial appearance information by taking advantage of a unified probabilistic framework. I hypothesized that facial features such as the eyes, nose, and mouth possess a potentially relevant discriminatory power to predict one’s gender, combined with the use of multiple occlusions such as facemasks or sunglasses as one of the key considerations to develop a more accurate and reliable recognition systems. The study will investigate these challenges and propose a realistic solution that may be modified for a variety of applications, including security systems.

Abstract:
AQUA Smart Fish System project is a project that will utilize the data collected from the existing IoT project that is in Universiti Teknologi Brunei that has been further explored to different aquaculture species such as seabass by Mohammad Hisyamuddin Bin Haji Ramlee and Giant prawn by Muhammad Musyaffa' Bin Abdul Aziz as an extension of Smart Fish System created by Roshartiney Damit. To ensure that these animals to grow optimally, we need to look into its water quality parameters that in result generates large amount of data. With these large amounts of data, it can be utilized to create a dashboard system that can aid the users to easily monitor the living quality of the animals. Currently, the students are using Cayenne as an option for a dashboard, but it comes with its own advantages and disadvantages such as ease of management but limited data storage unless subscribed monthly and overfeeding due to minimum timer is only five minutes. With that, we have decided to investigate alternatives to the current dashboard to see if there is a better alternative to Cayenne and compare what can be of further help to the current existing dashboard and the system by implementing existing data or mock data into the various dashboard that are available.

Abstract:
Rice is a fundamental food of the human diet, particularly in Brunei. With the recent pandemic, the supply of paddy as seeds from neighbouring countries became scarce due to issues within the exporting countries. This caused an alarm and representatives from DAA have approached UTB to assist in addressing this issue. Preparing a cropping calendar based on the type of rice to be planted prior to the commencement of a cropping season is one of the steps for developing a farming plan that allows farmers to prepare the necessary resources for farming. As the common problems faced in Brunei’s Paddy production industry are soil acidity, traditional irrigation and so on, we came up with some solutions to be proposed. Experiments require accurate data recording. The ease of collecting this information applies to agriculture 4.0 which will allow prediction and precision farming. The cropping calendar data are currently being kept on a manual logbook written on paper with no reliable backup system. Hence, data becomes disorganised when there is no centralised database. So we would like to transform the recording of these data through a systematic and digitised approach that makes use of a dashboard. The aim of this study is to analyse the problem and provide a fix by building a personalised dashboard that can assist in data collection and management. A dashboard is a visual representation of all data gathered that the user can access at any time. The projected results hope to help experimenters to keep track of their data in the long run. The methodology of this study includes fieldwork, an interview process, observation, as well as researching and comparing the method and medium used in each paddy plantation. With the study's solution, hopefully it can help other farmers and, in particular, UTB students who are conducting the paddy plantation experiment. Furthermore, it would be beneficial to reduce the user's workload.

Abstract:
Our project is going be modelled into a webpage which will provide all our findings and results, along with a video of our simulation. The use of browser is chosen due to it being the most flexible medium and can be accessed at most platforms. Traffic congestion is a big problem in many countries. Specifically, the design of traffic junctions plays a huge role in whether traffic can flow easily. Brunei is not excluded from such problem. Traffic congestion is a big problem. It creates a lot of issues, such as wasting valuable time, and creates a lot of unnecessary emissions. One of the ways to help reduce traffic congestion is by designing better traffic light management. We aim to identify possible strategies that can be utilized to help alleviate traffic congestion in the future by finding feasible solutions. Current research has proven that a couple of factors affects road congestions: Road Capacity, Road Architecture, and Road Designs. We will do an on-site visit to the specified junction and do a recording of the area within a specified timeframe to properly analyze the situation. After extracting the data, we will produce a simple simulation using Unity, and present all our findings into a webpage. We believe our findings can be of help in designing better roads in the future. The problem of road congestions is impossible to be solved completely, however we believe that our simulation can alleviate its impact.

Abstract:
The Student Achievement Passport (SAP) is used as a tool for monitoring students’ participation and accomplishment in islamic principles, life skills, volunteer work, physical activity and culture. Therefore, this project intends to streamline the process and improve upon the current SAP tracking system. Our report looks into the qr code system way of tracking their involvement in activities/events and achievements. The proposed solution is to implement a qr code system that will register and input a specific event into the respective students database. By implementing this, the students will be able to track and manage them efficiently.

Abstract:
Durian plantation in Brunei is vast and there are many companies that profit from this agriculture. However, there seems to be a lack of the utilisation of IoT to help boost our agriculture and in order to move towards digitalisation. Pro Access is such a company that plants Musang King and Black Thorn durian variants. It was revealed that many of their plants died in the early stage, or when they were still saplings. Therefore, The purpose of this report is to propose a system that could monitor and check the overall health of their plants by taking parameters such as the water level of the plant. This could ensure that the plants are taking not too much or little nutrients. The tools used are Arduino motherboards and sensors and will only be tested through simulation using Tinkercad to prove the concept of working IoT in durian fields. The location of their land is located in Kiudang, Tutong. Literature review was done by observing how other countries utilise IoT technology in their Durian plantation. As well as an interview with the owner of the company to help understand what parameters their plants are taking. Hopefully, this new system will help the company to nurse their plants with consistency and prevent it from wilting.

Abstract:
This paper contains the research, problems, and solutions of the new inventory management system for Farmbasket Cafe. The mentioned cafe has been operating with a manual system, which has been proven to be inefficient and unproductive for the business, so a proposed digitized system is necessary for the business to function efficiently.

An interview with the chef, who mainly oversaw taking of inventory, was conducted at the Farmbasket Café, Bunut branch about their manual inventory system and how things work with their current inventory system involving supplies, tracking stock ingredients and so on. Data from the interview were than used to build a website for the inventory system that could help the staff and chefs in the café to easily access their supplies, check the quantity of each stock of ingredients, restock certain ingredients when it is running low, keep track of the ins and outs of the stock, key-in the quantity of each item, add in or remove the quantity of an item when restocking or removing each item.

Potentially adding the budget and unit price of each item into the inventory system to calculate the total value of the items to purchase on each day as well as to calculate the remaining balance from the budget each day.

Abstract:
Hygiene is a practice helps to maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases, particularly through cleanliness. However, there are some food premises in Brunei Darussalam that are being penalised for their unsatisfactory level of cleanliness. This project aims to spread awareness to the public, food premises owners, and employees in Brunei Darussalam about the importance of food safety and quality control in terms of maintaining the hygiene of food premises and the employees to maintain health and prevent the spread of disease through food or cross-contamination. This project will follow the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. A video will be created to increase awareness and promote the importance of hygiene in food premises.

Abstract:
Most people today have access to electronic gadgets, and they like playing games in their spare time. Therefore, it is preferable to incorporate language learning approaches into technology, particularly games, as opposed to using flashcards and books. There are just a few ways to learn a new basic language, such as flashcards and books that cost money and time to purchase. The solution for this issue is by modernizing the method by integrating it into technology through games. Some people learn better through the senses of sight, sound, touch, or environment. The game might be a terrific approach to jumpstart their language learning process if they have problems focusing with conventional learning techniques. Making an interactive language learning game will make it more appealing and accessible to more individuals, who will find it more engaging and affordable. Therefore, with the help of our language learning game, players can gain knowledge, boost their self-esteem, expand their vocabulary, and simultaneously practice and sharpen a variety of language abilities.

Abstract:
Mental illness is a condition that affects a person’s thinking, feeling, behavior, or mood. These conditions deeply impact day-to-day living and may also affect the ability to relate to others. The primary goal of this project is to educate the audience more on how to help each other and how to break the stigma. While the main objective of this project is to raise awareness among the general public or society and attempt to convince the audience that there are still individuals who are supportive of mental illness. This research looks specifically into Mental Illnesses in Brunei, focusing mainly on the students enrolling in Secondary and Higher Education Institutions levels aged below 18 to 28. Thus, the proposed project is to create an awareness video to educate the audience through an informative and visually-attractive approach. The project process includes the three stages of video production; Pre-production, Production, and Post-production. In order to produce an effective and high-quality awareness video, fact-finding techniques such as interviews and giving out a survey were conducted. As these were carried out with both private and government organizations as well as the general students in Brunei respectively.

Abstract:
One Paws Centre derived from “One Stop Centre '' which means that everything that we need is all in one place. This platform offers 3 main features such as making online donation and subscription, filing issues/concerns and online adoption regarding strays. Currently, all complaints regarding the strays are posted on social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the other social media), and there is no appropriate/suitable platform for people to file such concerns to the NGOs. The main purpose of this system is to allow the public and the NGOs to interact with each other to ensure that all issues or complaints regarding the strays are attended by any of the NGOs, as well as to raise the public awareness on ways to reduce the number of stray animals and the humane treatment of animals. We are using an online survey that was conducted to collect relevant data from respondents using a google form to find more about other people’s opinion and perspective. We hope this system will benefit everyone who will be using this system in the future by giving them a trusted platform that will at least help to solve the problem that we are currently facing.

Abstract:
The majority of passports have reached their expiration date as a consequence of the pandemic and the restrictions placed on travel. The limits imposed by COVID-19 have been lifted, and as a result, Bruneian citizens are now permitted to travel overseas in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the MoH. For this reason, an individual who wishes to travel outside of their country must have a passport, which proves their identification as well as their citizenship and nationality. TransportBn, a local mobile application that focuses on renewing driver's licences and other aspects linked to the process, served as a source of motivation for the development of this product. As a result, the digitization of passport renewal processes will be a primary focus of this project. To that end, a passport renewal system will be built into an online mobile application that will be available to the people of Brunei Darussalam. The functions and features that will be included in the mobile application will be geared toward making the process of renewing passports for locals much quicker while they remain in the convenience and privacy of their own homes. Long wait times, unannounced collections of passports, and overcrowding are just some of the issues that many individuals have experienced as a result of the current system for renewing passports. The introduction of a mobile application for renewing passports will ultimately allow for the resolution of these issues.

Abstract:
Brunei Darussalam is well known for their endless food restaurants available all around in almost every district. Accordingly, the number of customers is rising, particularly in peak hours daily. Moreover, it is typical for the customers not to give huge anticipation on having a smooth ordering of their menus during the busiest time. In food and beverage business, their ordering menu is one of the supreme keys to communication, marketing, and selling tools. To be an innovative food and beverages business owner, it is important for them to consider in implementing technological advances to their business. In this study, it is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and revenue of food and beverage businesses. The purpose of this study is to take advantage of the advancement in technology by replacing a traditional food ordering into a digital menu ordering system using a tablet. The focus of this study is based on a factual event that will be applied to a local restaurant called Farmbasket. The application of this system will surely bring an ample satisfaction to the community. Problems such as wasting paper, cost wasted, miscommunication, language barriers will be resolved by utilizing this system. This thorough system will assuredly have an impact and improve in many aspects for the business owner as well as customers.

Abstract:
Rice is the staple food for Asia, including our own small country of Brunei Darussalam. To help Brunei attain rice self-sufficiency, a project was initiate to help paddy farmers in Brunei Darussalam by using the technology of Internet of Things (IOT). This project has been ongoing over the past 5 years and undergoes various technological improvements as it progresses. Our proposed project is to improve the current dashboard system. The aim is to develop a visual dashboard system, which is intuitive to more than just researchers but also paddy farmers. The dashboard would be appealing and interactive, supporting key features such as visualizations, alerts, and use of actuators. This is important because rice is a labor-intensive crop that requires unyielding attention to grow through harvest. Farmers would be able to monitor the paddy fields and their environment remotely and persistently. This would significantly improve the utility of the existing system that has been deployed on the site. Not only would the system help current paddy farmers, it also encourages prospective farmers among Bruneian youth to be interested in paddy farming. As one of the Wawasan Brunei 2035 goals to be self-sufficient, we hope to help to achieve the nation’s goal though the development of our system.

Abstract:
Forests located in peatlands are home to diverse flora and fauna as well as natural carbon deposits. When fire struck the forest it became forest fire but it got worse when fire struck in the peatland area. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) stated that the number of wildfire forecasts is increasing by 50% by 2100. This project aims to improve an existing system developed by our senior in detecting the risk of peatland fires by implementing a newly improved fire prediction algorithm using NodeRed.js and Grafana while also adding new sensors for the existing system, further increasing its accuracy of detection.

Abstract:
Blockchain technology is an immutable distributed ledger that has been gaining attention. Although generally known through Bitcoin, which is a cryptocurrency that utilizes blockchain technology – another emerging application of the said technology would be the use of smart contracts for digital agreements. Over the recent years, there has been valiant effort and various research being done towards the technology as a whole. The security features of blockchain technology allows applications and implementations for use-cases in real world. For instance, blockchains are immutable which makes tampering of data difficult, hence ensuring solid security. With that said, this group’s project revolves around the idea of adopting or integrating blockchain technology within the context of a university. Given the nature of blockchain to arguably still be on the rise, this project was executed through acts of doing research on different sources. The main intention would be to understand the concept as to what blockchain is and then explore as to how the use of blockchain may potentially bring great benefits towards a university. In addition to that, it is to determine and decide what possible applications there are to realizing the concept of a smart university. Simultaneously, awareness could be initiated through shedding light on the topic with completion of this very project.

Abstract:
This paper highlights the importance of cyber-threat detection mainly known as IDS (Intrusion Detection System) which acts as a monitoring tool service available within most technological devices nowadays that allows any unseen or unknown threats to be recognized and also further diminishes such known harmful cyber-attacks that can cause systems or devices to breakdown or crashes. This paper also states how packet sniffers have the ability to steal packets, unbeknownst to the victim’s consciousness regarding the security of their device in possession be it hardware or software, able to bypass firewall restrictions of any IDS/IPS with ease, hence exploiting their situation to gain an advantage against the victim’s network. So, we are focusing on building a scenario that essentially aids in providing a base understanding on packet sniffers and their behavior through the usage of a selected few packet-sniffing analyzing tools; in this case we had chosen Wireshark, Nmap and Snort. Therefore, during experimentation, we will analyze each of their capabilities in ‘sniffing detection’ and monitor their performances to be compared through by evaluating their strengths and weaknesses using the available features accessible to us. Finally, this paper aims to generally enhance people’s awareness of unknown cyber-threats or attacks mainly revealing and contributing to the existence of ‘sniffers’ and further on to encourage them to implement cyber-prevention tools within any personally-owned devices to not allow their valuable data be nipped.

Blockchain is a shared immutable ledger that facilitates the process of recording transactions and tracking assets in a business network and Scalability refers to a network's capacity to sustain larger transaction throughput. Sharding is one of the solutions for scalability for blockchain that can improve the current performance of blockchain. This is so the blockchain will perform as the nodes and transactions grow so it can be majorly adopted. Objectives is To research upon sharding simulations platforms by existing tools Increase the number of nodes, transactions, consensus, and block size will be carried out.
Comparison of different tools and techniques in carrying out the simulation of Sharding with a few parameters that affect the blockchain performance such as increasing number of nodes, transactions, consensus, and block size will be carried out.

Abstract:
The aquaculture industry is one of the fastest-growing food productions globally that offers a possibility for sustainable fish production. This project focusses on developing a suitable predictive model using hybrid approach, which is the combination of different machine learning and time series forecasting techniques to predict marine fish production in the aquaculture sector in Brunei Darussalam. The aim of this project is to provide the industry with alternative decision-making tools using predictive modelling, which eventually helps to optimize the production of marine fish aquaculture in Brunei. The model performance will be evaluate using appropriate metrics to choose the best model with the highest accuracy. This project will also use data stream mining techniques to deal with a data stream, where data is continuously generated and transfer at a high rate of speed.

Abstract:
5G, being the next big thing in telecommunications is set to revolutionize the way in which we communicate, connect, and share data. 5G could enable new cutting-edge services and technologies that can transform industries with ultra-reliable, low-latency links and ultra-fast data transfer speeds like never before. One good use case for 5G would be for face recognition. Facial recognition, by itself takes a high amount of bandwidth for its engine to process and transmit images from the cameras with the necessary quality. One of the enticing features of 5G is its ultra-fast data transmission speeds which makes it a phenomenal catalyst for facial recognition. This use case would be further analyzed in this project in collaboration with AITI.

Abstract:
A Postgraduate student (Ph.D. and MSc student) needs to submit his/her progress report periodically. The progress report is evaluated to understand whether the student is progressing sufficiently as well as the research is well aligned with the plan. Some universities have introduced this postgraduate tracking system. One of the universities is Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.[1] University Teknologi MARA has introduced the Postgraduate Tracking System (POSTRACKER). [1] This system is made for student data management and monitoring of the student’s academic progress. [1]

The aim of this system is this progress tracking system needs to be there and it should make people aware of it. Meet the submission deadline for the progress reports. To help students finish the tasks given to them on time. Track the research progress of the graduate research students. Sending a reminder to the students and supervisors about the progress report submission deadlines. Track the students who did not submit their progress on time. Inform supervisors and administrative personnel when a student did not submit a progress report. Provide an overview to the supervisors about the overall progress of each student under their supervision.

The study shows that the implementation of POSTRACKER does show effective results and improvements for students, supervisors, and people involved. [1] A clear improvement for students and supervisors is that the system made the process in terms of time, which shows a reduction in the length of time from 7 months to only 2 months. [1]

Video games influence people in several ways and have grown increasingly popular over the years with over 2.69 billion gamers as of 2020. Research has also been done relating to its effects on mental skills, being both positive and negative. Despite this, it is not well understood that excessive video game playing can develop a gaming addiction. Thus, the issue addressed is the increasing risk of people becoming addicted to video games, which can also lead to other serious mental disorders. To prevent this from evolving, this project intends to identify the changes in people’s cognitive ability when playing games, how the change influences their daily life, at what point it starts to become a potential cause of game addiction, and how it can be controlled to improve mental health. The objectives include understanding people’s awareness of gaming addiction through a survey, proposing a game that can help analyze people’s current state of mind, indicating any signs of gaming addiction, and exploring ways in helping to control and improve mental health by focusing on people’s cognitive ability and employing cognition and behavioral theories. The methodology uses an empirical and iterative approach. It is divided into two phases; testing mental health and proving cognitive ability. The data is collected through questionnaires and interviews. Therefore, the project extends prior research by employing a game-based approach to treat game addiction and offers insight into the psychology of the human brain using video games as a preventative measure of its alterations to mental health.

Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is trying to mimic human cognition and perception. The progress of AI is rather slow compared to the rate of consumers integrating AI as part of their daily tasks. One such AI challenge is to recognize the social relationships of two individuals from a collection of images. Social relationships are the term used to describe the way in which people interact with each other. It includes the way in which people communicate, interact, and behave toward each other. Previous studies described social relationships using their own interpretations. Therefore, classification often uses a supervised learning method with trained label data where the social relationship labels are limited. In reality, social relationships are complex and can have ambiguous definitions. In this research, we proposed using unsupervised learning to define the social relationships domain. We evaluate our discovery based on Bugental’s domain theory where he theorized that there are 6 different types of social relationship domains. The dataset for this research uses People in Photo Album (PIPA) where data labels were provided by previous studies. The results of this research can either be that the clusters can accurately categorize social relationships in their respective domains, or that new clusters might be discovered that define a new social relationship domain.
