UTB Postgraduate Research Colloquium 2025

We are delighted to announce that the UTB Postgraduate Research Colloquium 2025 will be held as part of the UTB-STE Connect 2025, to bring together MSc and PhD research students from UTB and other universities in Brunei, for an engaging academic exchange between the supervisors and postgraduate research students of all disciplines. It will be held at the UTB premises and hosted by UTB Graduate School and Research Office, in collaboration with other UTB academic schools and faculties. The exact schedule will be published in due course of time, and will be collated with other UTB-STE connect events.
The colloquium is designed to:

• Showcase the diversity and quality of postgraduate research in Brunei;
• Provide students with valuable experience in presenting and discussing their work in an academic setting;
• Encourage constructive feedback and dialogue among peers, supervisors and faculty; and
• Strengthen collaborations and networking opportunities across local universities.

The programme will feature oral and poster presentations, followed by interactive discussions. This format is to ensure that participants not only present their findings but also engage in meaningful conversations that inspire fresh perspectives and future collaborations. Whether you are presenting your research or attending as an audience, this colloquium will provide a stimulating and supportive environment for learning and networking between the postgraduate research community in Brunei.

The event is completely free and require prior registration to ensure attendance. The colloquium proceeding will be in soft copy and will be distributed to the registered participants only. The proceeding will include the abstracts of the research projects presented at the colloquium and list of the poster presentations.
