Background

The future of innovation lies in collaboration, and this is exactly what the ASEAN University Network (AUN), AUN/SEED-Net, and JASTIP are working towards. Together, they have launched the groundbreaking project β€œHuman Capacity Building for Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Coordination between ASEAN and Japan towards Grand Challenges.”

Supported by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), this initiative is designed to build a sustainable STI coordination platform that connects expertise, resources, and opportunities between Japan and ASEAN member countries.

🌏 What to Expect in This Session:

  • Discover STI Coordination – Learn what STI coordination means and how it drives innovation, research collaboration, and policy alignment.
  • Explore Its Importance – Understand why connecting Japan and ASEAN through STI is vital for tackling shared global challenges.
  • See the Project in Action – Get an inside look at custom-made training programs, funding opportunities, and initiatives designed to shape the next generation of STI leaders.
