The 2nd International Conference on Business, Management and Information Systems 2023 (ICBMIS 2023) invites academicians, practitioners and policy makers to send original research contributions formatted according to the given format. The conference will be held from 23th – 25th October 2023 in Universiti Technologi Brunei, Brunei Darussalam under the theme “Business Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals”.

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Prepare your manuscript in English. Please ensure that your manuscript does not contain grammatical and language errors
All third-party work included in your paper should be properly acknowledged with referencing
The manuscripts should be submitted as a MS Word document in .doc format (not as a PDF or .docx format) with other supporting documents as requested in call for paper email. The paper should not be more than eight pages including references.

Ethics and Malpractice Statement
ICBMIS 2023 is committed to ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, ethical behavior, and integrity in the dissemination of research. This Ethics and Malpractice Statement serves to provide clear guidelines and expectations for all parties involved: the authors, reviewers, the editorial board, and the publisher. 

Duties of Authors
- Originality: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must be given.
- Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data for editorial review.
- Multiple Publications: Authors should not submit manuscripts describing essentially the same research to more than one conference or publication.
- Authorship: Only persons who meet the authorship criteria should be listed as authors in the manuscript.
- Disclosure: All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships that might bias their work.
- Fundamental Errors: Authors have a duty to correct promptly any errors they discover in their published works. 

Duties of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors should be kept confidential.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers must ensure authors have acknowledged all sources of data used in the research.
- Objectivity: Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
- Timeliness: Reviewers should complete their reviews within the specified timeframe. 

Duties of the Editorial Board
- Decision on Publication: The editorial board is responsible for deciding which of the papers submitted to the conference should be published.
- Fair Play: Manuscripts shall be evaluated solely on their intellectual merit.
- Confidentiality: The editorial board must ensure information regarding submitted manuscripts is kept confidential.
- Conflict of Interest: Board members will not use unpublished information for their research without the express written consent of the author. 

Duties of the Publisher
- Publication Decisions: The publisher is responsible for deciding on the final list of accepted papers.
- Fair Play: The publisher commits to a fair double-blind peer-review of the submitted articles.
- Confidentiality: The publisher will ensure the confidentiality of the authors and reviewers during the review process. 

Allegations of Misconduct
- Investigations: Any allegations of misconduct will be taken with utmost seriousness and will be thoroughly investigated.
- Protection of Integrity: If any misconduct is found, necessary steps will be taken to restore the integrity of the conference. 

Retractions and Corrections
- Retractions: Articles may be retracted for reasons including scientific misconduct, multiple publication, or plagiarism.
- Corrections: The conference commits to publishing corrections, clarifications, and apologies when needed.
